Shiver me timbers and splice the main brace, me hearties! The Liverpool Brethren of Pirates will be running amock at the Northwich River Festival 2018.

You can learn how to walk and talk just like a pirate, see what they like to eat and drink (we’re guessing it’s Rum); but remember to block your ears when they fire their canon and blunderbus. Aaargh!

There’s going to be so much happening at the Northwich River Festival 2018, that you may want to escape the excitement for a while and take a gentle trip aboard “Over The Rainbow” – a narrowboat that has been specially adapted to carry passengers in wheelchairs. Trip will run throughout the weekend from Northwich Marina, with a short trip up river through Hunt’s Lock for Marshall’s Arm Nature Reserve, and a longer trip down river to Anderton Boat Lift.

Tickets will be on sale soon, so keep an eye out on this website, in the press , or – better still – follow us on Facebook! @NorthwichRiverFestival

The Mid Cheshire Stand-up Paddlers have been something of a splash recently (not literally), having appeared on local television and in the press. You see, they’ve been very busy trying to keep our waterways free of plastic and other types of litter that threaten the wildlife and beauty of the rivers Dane and Weaver – and enjoying a great social life as well!
