New for 2018, Northwich River Festival is delighted to bring you Concerts in The Park: two evenings of family-friendly entertainment in Baron’s Quay’s brand-new River Park.

Find your Flares, Brush up your Bubble Cuts and boogie on down to River Park, Baron’s Quay, Northwich for the Ultimate Party Night as sensational ABBA Tribute band – ABBA Now! – whisk us back to the 1970s. With all your favourite hits.

This is a great family night out for all ages, with all your favourite ABBA hits to sing along to or dance around your handbag!
Food and drink will be available, or bring a picnic.

Find your Flags, Dig out your DJs and head on down to River Park, Baron’s Quay, Northwich for the Ultimate Night of Pomp and Circumstance, as the very talented Vale Royal Schools Concert Band brings you all the classics, with a contemporary twist!.

This is a great family night out for all ages, with audience participation and much flag-waving definitely encouraged!

Our Soloist this evening

Rhian-Carys Jones

Classically trained Welsh Soprano, Rhian-Carys Jones, is a regular guest soloist with the Flint Male Voice Choir, and performs at local and national events including weddings and charity concerts.  Rhian-Carys often performs for events organised by the Rotary Club and is extremely happy and proud to have been asked to be guest soloist at the Northwich River Festival alongside the Vale Royal Schools Concert Band. Rhian-Carys was also guest soloist at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral in December 2017 performing with the Rainford band and other artistes. In 2016 Rhian-Carys won the Mold’s Got Talent competition. Since the age of 5 Rhian-Carys has annually won every regional heat for the National Eisteddfod of Wales and has performed all over the country. She has also appeared on S4C. Rhian-Carys is in regular demand as a concert soloist and has her own CD entitled, ‘O Fy Nghalon’ (From My Heart).

What happens if it rains?

The concerts will not be cancelled if it rains.

River Park is a new area situated between Baron’s Quay’s multi-storey car park and the river

Can I bring a gazebo?

To make sure that everybody can see, no tent-like structures are allowed.

Is seating provided?

There is a limited amount of seating in the park, but we recommend you bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

If you’re bringing a picnic, you may also like to bring a small table.

Are dogs allowed?

We regret that dogs will not be allowed into River Park for these events (except for assistance dogs).

Will food and drink be available?

Food and drink will be available – or you can bring your own.

Please consider the environment and our volunteers, and take your rubbish home with you.

What's the dress code?

There is no dress code – feel free to dress up to suit the event!

Remember that it could get cold as night falls, so bring something warm to put on.

What times do the concerts start and finish?

5.00pm: The park closes to the public.
6.30pm: Gates open
7.15pm: Support acts
8.00pm: Concerts start
10.00pm: Concerts end

Where can I park?

The nearest car park is Baron’s Quay multi-storey (Four hours free) – right next to River Park (Post Code: CW9 5LD).

There is limited disabled parking at the rear of The ODEON cinema (accessed via Leicester Street – Post Code: CW9 5LD).

Taxi drop-off and collection will be on Leicester Street (Post Code: CW9 5LD).

Anything else I need to know?

These concerts are aimed at families, and we want to make the environment a pleasant one for all attending. We reserve the right to refuse entry, or remove any person, for any reason including unruly behaviour, under-age drinking or supplying alcohol to minors.

For safety, no naked flames, barbecues or other methods of cooking will be allowed.

Tickets are non-refundable except in the unlikely event that we have to cancel the event(s)
